Not a headline you see every day.

I guess..."don't knock it till you try it" applies here?

There may be a problem with this story, which would suggest that it may be fake news or an account based on "alternative facts." The article doesn't say whether the "investigators" were from the police department or employed by Walmart. While Walmart has the right to ban anyone from its store, a representative of Walmart must issue the ban directly to the individual. Police may assist in enforcing the ban but may not issue a ban themselves without a court order.

I don't know the details, but it is being reported by several news outlets, so I assume its not fake news. If it is then that's scary.

The devil is in the details and sometimes in the wording. The article you cited said "Investigators found the woman at a nearby restaurant and told her she was banned from the Walmart." Another article worded it differently: "Police had to track her down at a nearby local restaurant to tell her she'd been banned from that Walmart location for life."

The first quote made it sound like police did the banning, while the second seems to say that police were merely passing along Walmart's ban. Whether the business needs to issue the ban directly to the individual may be different in different states.

In Texas? The problem was the wine and the Pringle's canister. If that had been Dickel Brother's Sour mash Whisky drank from a mason jar, it'd be no big deal. The store manager would have probably joined her. Or if she was from California ... that'd be a problem too. :D

Perhaps the Pringles can provided a bit of seasoning for the drink in question.

What could possibly go better with your glass of rose than a hint of sour cream and onion?

I was thinking more along the lines of rosemary and olive oil Pringles. It could be a redneck martini.

I don't know why this is hard to believe. Big retail stores will ban problem customers if the offense is big enough.

There’s nothing quite like being served wine from an IV bag...

Can you get a ticket for drunk driving an electric cart on private property? Maybe she was lucky she only got banned from the store.
