What music are you listening to right now?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Heresy!
Another non-classical guitar album - Tool 10,000 days.

Guitarra Flamenca Vol 1

Image

good stuff apart from the Paco De Lucia tracks where the accompanying castanets/hand-claps seem to have been recorded through a megaphone and drown out his playing. Much clearer versions of Sabicas than another Flamenco CD I have.

Unico Wilhelm Graaf van Wassenaer (1692-1766) - Concerti Armonici

It was the first CD that I bought. The Six concertos written between 1725 and 1740, but published without attribution due to the composer's modesty; first misattributed to Carlo Ricciotti, then to Pergolesi. Musicologist Albert Dunning proved Count van Wassenaer's authorship.
The stately opening of Concerto Armonico No.1 is probably my favourite.

Last year I voted for a ban on Christmas music...

And this year? I listen to Christmas music and I really like it. :casque:

But I have not changed my mind. I only found some different kind of Christmas music: Famous Christmas songs with Cuban rhythms. The band is called Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion and the CD Christmas Meets Cuba. I saw this band about 4 weeks ago in a concert and I really enjoyed it.

Beethoven's last piano sonata, Op 111. It seems to me that it is as much philosophical argument about the human condition as a piece of great music.
