Best treble strings for harmonics

Post by Guitarhancock » Thu Nov 30, 2017 9:38 pm

Does a "carbon" treble produce a stronger, clearer harmonic than a nylon treble? Or, it all technique?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think it is more dependent on the guitar and technique. I don't recall carbon strings producing better harmonics. If anything my memory tells me that harmonics were more subdued with carbons possibly due to the higher tension.

It's all technique...that's the truth. How you attack it, where you attack, the fret placement and how the top of the guitar vibrates. No two guitars hit the harmonics alike...
