I used them for a couple of years on a Manuel Velazquez and felt that they lasted quite a long time. For what it’s worth I switched to the new Ramirez strings after reading great reviews about them. However, The Royal Classic Recitals are very hard to beat unless you spring for some very expensive strings.
Of course, surely
I rather doubt luthiers would. D’Addario are cheap, reliable, intonate well and are commonly known by players - all good reasons for a set to be installed by a luthier. I know a number of well known players are D’Addario sponsored artists, but that’s a different thing.Jack Douglas wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:38 pmPeter,
You bring up an excellent point. Many Luthiers string up their guitars with D’Addario. Do they receive incentives?
