Ramirez String Tensions...Finally We Have Data

Post by Laudiesdad69 » Thu Jan 25, 2018 10:05 pm

Finally found tension data from Ramirez on their strings.

Ramirez med tension with carbon G = 87.21 lbs
Ramirez med tension with Nylon G = 84.90 lbs
Ramirez HT with carbon G = 90.52 lbs
Ramirez HT with Nylon G = 89.52 lbs

This information came from a link to the Ramirez international website while I was looking at the Spanish website. I am waiting for confirmation on what scale length was used in determining the tensions. I will pass that info along as soon as I get it. The tension info was originally given in Kg...I converted it to lbs. if you want the info in Kg, just divide by 2.2

That looks reasonably close to D'Addarios.

Wow, I wish I would have remembered or seen that post if I didn’t. I really didn’t waste my time too badly as My fellow Americans aren’t used to thinking in Kg and think in pounds.

I checked the date of Ramon’s post. it was two years before I joined. I wish that it wouldn’t have got lost to time and thousands of posts. As he got his info from Amalia, I would trust that info implicitly. What I want to know is why SBM doesn’t have this info on their website.
