New CD - The Legend of Hagoromo

Post by alcguitar » Mon Oct 26, 2015 4:44 pm

Dear Forum Members,

I’m very excited to announce the release of ‘The Legend of Hagoromo’ on the UK label Stone Records. The album is also in consideration for the Best Classical Instrumental Solo category of the first round of the 58th Grammy Awards. This is my third full solo CD, but first on a label. I have solo and chamber performances on Albany and Navona Records as well.
‘The Legend of Hagoromo’ is a classical fusion-recital featuring compositions for solo guitar by American and Japanese composers inspired by Japanese aesthetics, myths, poetry, and dance. Issued in July in the UK and September world wide on the UK label Stone Records, for which I am their first American artist and classical guitarist. I am especially proud of the title track (the 2nd commercial release) and those that I commissioned (#’s 4, 5, 8-9) by Ken Ueno, Kota Nakamura and Martin Schreiner.
Feel free to listen by clicking below.
Musically,
Aaron

Congrats, Aaron! Listening to your record now.
"In music I think it's very, very dangerous if you start to compare and say, 'This is good, this is not good, this is only one possibility' . . . there are so many possibilities, but what is important is to be open to that." - Pavel Steidl
