Hi Owl,
thank you for this MP3, that is fantastic. :bravo: I also played some scores of Scalatti, its wonderful music.
Is this one arranged by Eliot Fisk?
Greetings, Christa

Thanks for listening Christa, I'm glad you enjoyed it... Scarlatti is such fun to play
No, this arrangement is by my teacher
I haven't played the Fisk arrangement so I can't really comment on it

Hi Owl, I am CG beginner and really enjoyed your playing. Your playing is so clear, and it is amazing how you can change your tone from a warmer sound to a brighter sound and back. I just recently joined, and your playing inspired me to practice deligently everyday.

This is my today's last listening of Owl's playing (3 per day shall be enough to avoid addiction issues  ). It's no doubt that I'll enjoy the music when clicking on Owl's mp3 :casque:

I really love the fact that you vary the second time you play each part and I really enjoy your rendition (keep in mind that I'm french and my english is awful). Nevertheless, I think you could easily be more generous in terms of ornaments and Forte-piano when repeating each part. You feel more "reserved" when playing this sonata than for Sevilla or BWV1006 preludio, don't you?

Funny, I am re-learning this piece (it was one of my grade 8 pieces) and I can tell you I play it no where near as well, so thanks for the inspiration and practise practise practise

No, I don't think reserved is quite how I feel, just the opposite in fact... it makes me feel happy and full of joy
Certainly I don't feel the deepness of passion that I do with Sevilla or the 1006a Prelude... but this music is not meant to feel that way... not for me anyway.
And I don't want to clutter the piece... one of the reasons I play it at a slower tempo as well is to allow the music to feel free and easy, not rushed and too busy with ornamentation
But that's my interpretation and how I feel to play it

Thank you again for listening :casque:

Magnifico!! I love this piece, and your interpretation is superb. My little boy is definitely a fan of your Scarlatti, he was bobbing up and down to it.

Here's hoping. he generally responds very positively to music, especially classical, and the songs from Sesame Street!

Bump...

In honor of Owl and because I love Scarlatti's playful music. Some of the newbys may not have heard this one. It predates Owl's recordings with a more professional studio and mixer, but there is no denying the delightful style in which Owl plays K322/L483.
