Will have a look. Never heard of the her or the group before. I wonder was the name inspired by the Dubai habit of naming new districts after business branches. e.g. internet city, knowledge city? :-)

Hi simonm, She is a young classical guitarist from UK. Studied with Julian Bream. The folk group project is in addition to her cg. It is heartwarming to see young people with such musicianship so devoted to carrying on tradition as well as innovating. I hope they inspire more young generation musicians.

Her Celtic-English folk ensemble has some wonderful vids on youtube.

Back in the UK folk revival of the 60 s 70 s, I remember guitarists John Renbourn and Bert Jansch and their Pentangle group.

I visited Cap Breton in Canada this October amidst their Celtic music festival which was memorable.

Tír Eolas, 'as [pr:aws] Gaeilge' or in Irish = Geography.
Your own interpretation is near enough 'knowledge of country ('Tír ).

Simon, neither had I until very recently but this performance of the Berkeley Sonatina totally bowled me over. I think it is a terrific performance - technically accomplished and very, very musical:
