I love this arrangement by our member cookie: Neil Gow's Lament for the death of his second wife.
Ditto on this. Great arrangement.
I've just finished listening to the recordings of this arrangement. Very nice.

I think I like this arrangement better than David Russell's arrangement.

There are several Mel Bay books, but many are for steel string. It seems only the 2 books by Guido Böger are for classical guitar

Pascal bournet has some very good arrangements of O'Carolan if they are still in print.
Do you have the title to his anthology?

Did David Russell ever edit more volumes of Celtic Music than vol. 1 on Doberman-Yppan?

David Russell's web site shows only volume 1.

There's Matthew McCallister's, "Scottish Lute Pieces" ....available on his website. I particularly like, "Daniel's Tune."

In addition to David Russell's and Allan Alexander's fine worshippers, I also like Duck Baker's "Irish, Scottish, English and American Fiddle Tunes for the Fingerpicking Guitarist". I'm not sure how the 2nd edition compares to the first edition.

There are numerous versions of thousands of Irish and other Celtic tunes on http://www.thesession.org. One could easily spend a lifetime crafting arrangements using the melodies as a starting point.

Indeed you could devote a lifetime to arranging and playing these beautiful old Irish/Celtic tunes. The ones I have mentioned are :
pascal Bournet Turlough O'Carolan's Compositions 20 pieces for guitar
Pascal Bournet O'Carolan's Compositions
