45 guitars play a march! :)

Post by Tuomas Kourula » Wed Mar 30, 2016 10:54 am

Recently we organized the second Great guitar orchestra project at Turku conservatory of music. We had about 45 guitarists of all ages playing together, which was great fun! :D

This is our encore, J-B. Lully's March - you can hear the rest of the program as well on Youtube, if you're interested. This time, it was an all-Lully program, last year we played Rameau.

Thanks for posting this. I also liked the Air on a G string which I listened to as well.

An amazing sound! Thanks for posting. It sounds like some quite low alternate tunings were used on some of the instruments.

Once again, very nice work. What a joy to hear all of these guitars together and the piece thank you for sharing. I'm going to the YouTube channel to hear the concert. Amazing. You have a very nice program there. It would be difficult to find 45 classical guitarists anywhere around where I live.
