An incredibly lightweight and wonderful sounding instrument from the shop of Michael Thames. Woods are much more beautiful in person.
Regarding condtion, being French Polished, there are some areas to note that are not perfect in the finish. Most notably below the bridge where there are a lot of small marks from string changes apparently (see picture) The top is very clean otherwise. The back has two small scratch/indentations (one I managed to picture - the other is much thinner and a little longer) There is also some minor clouding in the finish on the back when you get it into the right light. I may contact Michael to see if there is anything I can do about this before I ship it out.
Only other thing cosmetically is there are some imperfections (looks like it was just part of the polishing process) along the neck heel on both sides in the Brazillian.
The case does have some abrasions on the top (lower bout mostly), but is totally solid and all latches work. It seems to have a sturdier top than some of the newer Humicase Metros that I've had here. Maybe an older model that is built better?
Action is currently at 3.5mm with plenty of saddle to bring it down if you so choose. I've just cleaned the entire body, cleaned and conditioned the fingerboard, polished the frets and installed a new set of Curt Mangan normal tension strings. I'll throw in 2 extra sets of those with the purchase.
Shipping will be actual on my Fedex account and to the CONUS only. Paypal is accepted add 75.00 and I'll cover the rest.
Here's a clip I recorded quickly today (11/13) - turn the volume slider up on the Box player before listening.
