Looks beautiful! I am curious to know how it sounds like.

Thank you gentlemen. I’ll be happy to be able to post a sound sample of this guitar, unfortunately I don’t have any possibility of recording home.

Frederich, Curious to how this sounds versus your previous double tops in tone and projection. Also why do you use spruce underneath? how is it different than most cedar/cedar DT's

Hi, Dofpic. The projection and the volume are the same. I kept the features that I think are important for achieving them, like the frame under the top, thick sides (2,5mm), substantial, stiff back braces, fingerboard supported up to the soundhole, etc. The difference between my latest design and regular double tops, is in the fact that the Nomex area is reduced and the edge of the top is solid wood, no lamination there. I think this feature gives to the instrument a more natural, traditional sound. I can sometimes hear a slightly nasal tone on some of even most expensive double tops, and I tried as much I could to not have that problem. I was told by a good friend of Daniel Friederich that his tops are thick at the edge and very thin in center where the braces are placed. In a way, my DT are similar to his design.( By the way, the rosette is a Daniel Friederich copy}. I achive my light top by installing Nomex in center of the top, and the oval patch is a very light and uniform way to stiffen the top. That alows me to keep at minimum the bracing and only for the purpose of controlling the sound. I use spruce under the top for the fact that is less brittle than cedar. I am not sure if the use of spruce is responsible for the more brilliant trebles that this guitar has.

This is the naked truth. No recording studio, no echo, just birds, cars passing and wind.
Have fun.

Frederich you look much younger than I remember you! Sounds great with really strong trebles.

I wish, he is James Meade, a Classical Guitarist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is playing a DT I made for him about 10 years ago.
