Model D-4 Alpine Spruce Top
Recently completed Luthier Artisan guitar. This guitar has incredible volume, deep cello type bass, sweet trebles. It is finished completely in a meticulously applied French Polish, with other resins to improve its resistance to scratches. This guitar was played by a world renowned performer who stated that this was an exceptional guitar. It is priced to sell quickly, but is valued at $5,000. Sound sample here:
Top---Fine Grade Italian Alpine Spruce, Braced with Spruce. Bracing pattern is Bouchet style
Sides---Laminated Curly Maple
Back---Curly Maple with Chechen Back Strip Bordered by Ebony (black), Bloodwood (Red), Maple (white), Veneers. Braced with Mahogany
Fingerboard---Macassar Ebony, 1st Grade, with a 7th fret indicator on the side of the fretboard, 52mm wide at the nut 62mm at the 12th fret
Bridge---Chechen with tile inlays used in the Rosette
Bindings---Chechen, with Black, Red, White Purflings
Neck---Mahogany with Carbon Fiber reinforcement
Top Linings---Cedar Peones
Rosette---Fleta style tiles, custom hand inlayed
Arm Rest---Chechen, a few millimeters off the top
Finish---French Polished with mixture of Shellac, Mastic, Sandarac, Copal
Depth of Sides--Fleta dimensions of 96mm upper bout, 100mm lower bout
Action Set At---Nut high E .55mm Nut low E .60mm Saddle high E 3.00mm Saddle low E 3.10mm, can change to desired specs.
