Yes, let's do a comparison sometime. I agree your Wolverton is something very special.

This is a superb Spruce Top Simon Ambridge Series 40 Concert classical guitar which was hand made for me in 2011, after I began my studies at the Royal Academy of Music. These guitars are now being sold new at the price of £6750 from retailers.

A joy to play, it possesses a very clear bell-like tone, which I find reminiscent of the Hauser sound favoured by Julian Bream on several of his recordings. The guitar is lightly constructed, making it comfortable to hold and to transport (Hiscox Pro II case included). I have noticed that the sound has matured over the time I have owned it; a result of the spruce 'opening up'. This has bestowed it with improved projection and revealed a spacious depth of sound. It has a dynamic array of tone colour to explore, which ranges from darkly rich resonance when played over the fretboard, through a warm, balanced and rounded tone over the sound hole to an incisive and crisp, percussive tone near the bridge. The general condition of the instrument is good, as it has been well looked after, although there are areas were there are some signs of wear to the finish which have arisen from its being played on a regular basis.

The back and sides are crafted from Indian Rosewood and the quality tuners are by Rodgers. The neck width is 50mm. This guitar recently appeared on Sir Michael Parkinson's Sky Arts Programme 'Masterclass' where I (Merlin Miller) performed alongside guitar sensation Milos Karadaglic. Prospective buyers are of course welcome to view and try the guitar, and I am happy to offer either collection or delivery.

Is this guitar still for sale?
