Post by simon » Mon Aug 28, 2006 12:36 pm

hi all

i recently bought a DVD of Carlos Bonnell playing his favourite guitar music and this piece was one that he plays. i love this piece and have learnt it over the past couple of days so it is not perfect but i think it captures the mood and feeling very well.

see what you think.

best wishes

Simon

As usual Simon this is just lovely :flowers:
I only have dial up access at the moment as I am away on holidays but it was worth the painfully slow download to listen to you play this piece :casque:
:merci: for the music

Wow! This is smashing, I'm really glad you gave us the chance to hear it. I would never be brave enough to try and tackle something like this and I admire anyone who has such courage. I love the tonal variety you've achieved and the overall feel of the piece. Smashing! Best wishes, V.

Hello Simon!
Are you sure this is Tarrega's Capricho?
I am not...I am curious why are you not interested to understand what Tarrega intended to show with HIS composition... It is interesting what you did there, but... :( , I like more Tarrega's Capricho...

hi Gorobete

on the dvd of Carlos Bonell he plays it at the same speed as me. and his interpretation is different to a lot of other guitarists who play it, which is refreshing.

i AM interested in this piece and that is why i like to play it, just a little different to everybody else. :)

Hello Simon!
I am not talking about the speed or interpretation, I am a big fan of this kind of free interpretation, but you changed the score ... and the result is not Tarrega ... my opinion. In your way, it sounds more like an improvisation after Tarrega.
