3. Work at different speeds
4. Everything else that people have suggested in this thread.
5. Practice more

Also, I tend to put a little more skin into the plant on the wound strings, but that may just be me.

My observation with younger players like Marcin Dylla or Xavier Jara is that their right hand is amazingly relaxed at all times. It led me to monitor my own habits and after a short while I could easily notice that there are spots in my pieces were I just have too much tension. The wrist and therefore the carpal tunnel are from my observation the most vulnerable places were tension can be harmful. And from there it spread easily. When the fingers are not relaxed enough the joints are a bit more "stiff" and this is main culprit for right hand string noise. This doesnt necessarily contradict what others have said in this thread. Rather I recommend not to neglect my point.
