This is a very small and old church located at Carrion de los Condes (Spain). I have been here for the past two summers, learning from the awesome Rene Izquierdo and learning a lot about the Spanish culture as well as the Camino de Santiago. My good friend Federico Sheppard has been instrumental in the restoration work of this church and we have been very privileged to be given the opportunity of using this church for our learning.
A lot of restoration work is still going on currently and they have discovered several very very old painting behind the plastered walls of the church which you can see in this video. They are currently replacing the wooden floors, connecting electricity and trying to restore the paintings on the wall.
I hope to return to this place once again and l am certainly looking forward to see the progress of the restoration. Please sit back relax and enjoy this piece by J.S. Bach 2012, Allemande movement from the Sixth Cello suite with lots of nice pictures of the church incorporated into the videos. I felt so clam and serene playing this piece at the church and you could even hear the wind blowing into the tress outside the church.
Here are the links to the other movements which I have shared with members here. Just one movement Gavotte I & II to go for the complete cello suite.
