I'm writing as I listen...this is a very beautifully played reading of the piece. It has a calm, floating feeling that's interspersed with bursts of energy that seem to erupt from the texture and, of course, the piece itself is amazing.
Lovely work Owl :D

:merci:

My gosh Owl, can this be played more beautifully? Rhetorical question of course because the answer is an undoubtedly no. You bring so much to this forum. We are blessed to have you.

:merci: :merci: and oh yeah,

Certainly the best interpretation of this Adagio that it was given to me to hear. I feel a very great level of intelligence, technique and spirituality.

Owl, as usual I am one of the last to catch up with your latest masterpiece.

This is another beautiful piece for my Owl's Greatest Hit's collection (they are ALL greatest hits - every one of them).

I love those ringing notes and, boy, do they ring! Sublime piece of Bach and sublimely played, Owl!

Thank you so much for posting again. :discussion:

A soul with fingers.
"with fingers" 'cause I can hear a guitar (or is it just the music?) :casque:
"A soul" 'cause I've never seen the person, but I've been touched every time.

May I add it to my personal Owl album? Thank you :merci: :merci: :merci:

Admirable!! The best version I ever heard!

A little bit bewildering for me is that you are in Australia - hot weather, kangaroos, desert...(that are my simple associations with Australia) - while listening to your recording I have more the feeling you are playing in some old church in Germany...

I must first say I don't leave comments on these interpretations pages often, so when I do it means I really like what you've done. I was just searching through these early music recordings to get in the baroque mood for my audition coming up, but I have to say this recording has really moved me. This has to be one of my favorite playings of this piece along side manuel barrueco's. Bravissimo and thanks!
