Sor, Fernando - op.31/11 - Video

Post by Chris Delisa » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:29 pm

I'm trying to make a weekly video so that I can put these studies to bed one by one.

This is the latest one. I found it to be quite pleasant and melodic. The textures and tone colors make it go interesting places despite being so short. What do you think?

I think that you play this Etude rhythmically and dynamically correct. Like most of the Sor's etude it has it's own beauty and purpose.
So, my only advice is not to force yourself to produce weekly recording; rather permanent recording but at the moment when you realize that you rich all of the requests that Sor (or any other composer) has set for you.

Bravo, waiting to hear your next work,...

Best, Bertran II

I suppose. The thing is, I'm working through Noad's book of 100 graded studies. I've gotten through 30 or so and figure I could get 1 video recorded a week. But at a point they will get so hard that they will require more time. So you're right, I need to focus more on permanent recording and wait until everything is ready.
