Well done, Brian. But that's not Sor's Op.60 #2. Also, please check your tuning before recording, as that low string is flat. But otherwise you are getting on top of the piece. Keep at it!

Thank you,
I have had trouble with my strings since I put some new ones on a couple of weeks ago.
It was Study # 2 from Opus 60. I presumed that meant # 2, my bad.

Well, that link doesn't work, and it's still not Sor's Op. 60 #2. What edition did you use?

Note the word "revised". There is only one edition I recommend, by Tecla - you can find their website. They give you exactly what Sor wrote, without the arrogance that they know better than Sor. But you will have to pay for their edition. If you don't want to pay, try this edition https://musikverket.se/musikochteaterbi ... samling-s/ which at least has the right pieces.
That Guitar School has many of the worst editions I've ever seen. If you care about what Sor wrote, try to avoid any revised version. When you are just learning, it might seem odd that there are different editions of the same piece, but you should develop an interest in the composer, his unique voice, and over time notice how all these 19th-century composers did indeed have their own way of doing things. Modern editors tend to render them all the same, which is a pity. Their differences are what makes them unique. Let this be a lesson in learning not just a tune, but discovering about composers' unique voices, editors, revisionists, facsimile editions versus editorial changes, learn about the history of the guitar, its changes over the centuries, different techniques, etc, etc. It's a wonderful journey!

But above all, keep playing. You are off to a good start.

Wow, I didn't know any of that, thanks.
I am shocked, shocked. Wow, I am seriously bummed by that. The music I have is so different from what opus 60 seems to be it is not even close.
I am going to ask for an explanation.
Oh well, I can get sheet music from Allen Matthews, my long distance teacher.

OK so I found out that what I have here is opus 60, #15.
Here is where you can find the music. I am not a scholar on this stuff, but it looks pretty original to me.
From what I can tell the fingering is the same, at least for this piece.
