This guitar is a powerful instrument, with a tone that I consider typically French. Very lush, with surprising volume and a full-bodied, supported tone.
The French polish on the top was touched up by myself, mostly because it had a pretty nasty scratch, which you can see on the bass side of the upper bout, above the rosette. It's now filled and leveled off, and the shellac was refreshed all over, removing most of the stray nail marks.
The guitar has one crack in the soundboard which was expertly repaired years ago and has remained stable. It's just behind the bridge as you can see in the picture.
