The highest model they had was the 1a and it was much nicer than many guitars twice it's price.
The Adalid was brighter and louder but the Burguet wa very sweet sounding.
I'm guessing that if you might sell the Adalid you now prefer the Italian guitar ?
Yes, in a way I prefer it - but not an easy decision to sell the Hopf
When I first bought the 1a I thought that the guitar was in the category of many instruments in the £4000 range (as the prices are now). I showed it to John Mills and he agreed. John Mills had just started to play a Bert Kwakkel, as did everybody else about 20 years ago (I wonder if Kwakkel is still popular?).
Unless anybody else knows differently, I expect that AC and AB models may have better bindings and tuners etc. Maybe better spruce tops?
