The interesting aspect of this discussion is that string selection can apparently help a guitar bloom and that a quality wood instrument will continue to change over the years and, perhaps as some luthiers suggest, ultimately reflect the personality of the player when played. Not only that but the strings & tensions that helped develop the guitar may not necessarily be the right strings & tensions once it has opened up.
