This collection of exercises, (as there are some big finger stretches), should be practiced slowly at first. To avoid any soft tissue damage, I would recommend starting higher up the neck, and after working out the various chord forms, proceed at your own pace. It is imperative that the guitar is held in the proper Classical Guitar manner, so as to achieve the finger stretches with any ease. This of course is my preference and opinion.
The purpose of this exercise is to highlight that every Major 7th chord can be played without the need of excessive position changes. If practiced carefully, a player can quickly find any chord without looking at the fret board. The chords should be practiced up and down the neck.
I must emphasize these examples are not aimed at chord melody playing but rather at chord clarity, reading, finger positions and proficiency.
