[PDF] Bach, J. S. - BWV 0855a Prelude (arr. Siloti, A.I.)

Post by musikai » Sat May 27, 2017 8:55 pm

Hello there,

after hearing a beautiful piano piece that sounded like a piece by J.S.Bach and at the same time didn't sound like a Bach piece I found out that it was an arrangement by Alexander Siloti of the Prelude BWV 855a.
He put the bass line into the trebles.
So here are my 2 versions of it, in A-minor and E-minor. As with the original Bach piece that was written as exercise for his son Wilhelm Friedemann the guitar version can happily be used to practise slurs (while other fingers remain in fixed positions)

I like to play the melody of both versions as legato as possible, may it be slurs on the same string or on adjacent strings.
