Savarez Cantiga Premium

Post by Alan Perros » Fri Apr 27, 2018 4:59 pm

Hi there !

I saw this news on Savarez website: "Meet us in Frankfurt at Musikmesse fair from 2018 April 11th to 14th to discover new Savarez strings: Cantiga premium for classical guitar and Hexagonal Explosion for electric and bass guitar."

Savarez recently announced this new "Cantiga Premium" set and confirmed that those strings will be out in July ! (source: their facebook page)

At that time, I don't have more informations... but I'm really looking to try it.

What could possibly be the difference between the regular Cantiga strings and the "premium?

Curious to hear as well or if this is just more "marketing".

I’m curious about these strings as well. I can’t seem to find any info on them. Hopefully it will be a sterling silver set.

There is no difference. "Premium" just means you will be paying a premium to buy them. :D

Those strings are available since the summer, but only in France, for now.

I didn't try them myself, but several guitarists on the french forum are writing about them. It seems that they are better than the regular cantiga, notably they last longer (way longer).

Maybe they'll be available for everybody in 2019, hopefully.

They are available in Germany as well at least from two online shops, Mrs. Enders and Schneidermusik. Considering a longer lifetime it’s nice to see that their surcharge of 2,80€ is quite moderate! :D

I can't find Mrs. Enders on google... I might be intersted if the shipping fee for France isn't too expensive.

Apologies! Please search for classical strings und select the untitled google hit!

Her website is quite old fashioned and ordering must be done via email or phone, but it's the cheapest and fastest source in Germany!

Good luck! :D

I was speaking in general, to buy strings. Savarez strings are indeed made in France, but after testing absolutely all strings on the market, I'm more a D'Addario Carbon J45FF guy... I have to try the premium though.

... but her service is first class and lightning fast. To my place it's about 600 km all across Germany but most if not all orders arrived the next day already! :D

A quick search shows them available at the London Guitar Studio

I've made inquiries to SBM, but haven't heard back from them yet.
