Rocha, Ulisses - Ilusão

Post by Sean Eric Howard » Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:07 pm

Here's a blast from the past. While searching on an old flashdrive for the copies of mp3s to replace here on Delcamp, I ran across my old (and presumed lost) recording of Ilusão by Ulisses Rocha. I made this recording on my old Zoom H4 back in the summer of 2010 with my David Finck guitar that the fine folks of Dress Regional Airport destroyed in the spring of 2014.

This piece is available at Ulisses' website.

Sean, you inspired me to play Rocha's Fim de Tarde a few years ago. You might inspire me again. Thanks for sharing this.

amy3000, lucy, and pogmoor - thank you very much for your comments.

amy, I do remember your recording! Ulisses Rocha's pieces are at his website and cost about 3 dollars and some change per piece. His website has been updated so that you have pdf access immediately upon payment. Some good pieces over there and you can hear the composer play most of them on youtube.

Wonderful piece and fantastic playing
Never heard of this composer before
Will check this piece out - probably very difficult while you make it sound easy!

kloeten, thanks a bunch. It's a bit more difficult than Fim de tarde, but not much. You can check Ulisses Rocha out on youtube - lots of pieces and most all are available on his website.
