Another very famous song

There are not many famous songs in 9/8 time (can you think of any others?)

Yes, this type of melodic music would work well for that combination

Thanks Adrian, a lovely melody that I remember my mother's wind-up musical jewelry box used to play when it was opened, fascinating us kids.

Not heard the Brubeck version of the Rondo - also, the nursery rhyme "Row, Row, Row your boat" is often written in 9/8.

I glad you like it, Larry. I am trying to keep these arrangements fairly close to the original piano scores, but in guitar keys. I have found some other arrangements on the internet, but they seem, in my opinion, unnecessarily complex - the beauty is their simplicity, the lovely melodies, and the harmonic surprises. It does not need to be arranged like Concierto de Aranjuez to get those elements across.

Did people know that the Beatles used to perform Beautiful Dreamer, and a version exists of their performance on BBC radio?
