Fantastic Philip Woodfield Grand Concert II that is essentially new. The "story" here is that I've just been presented the opportunity to purchase a "bucket list" guitar - an opportunity that I may not come across again any time soon. That, combined with the fact that my custom-built Steve Connor is about to arrive next week, means that I have to move something significant to make the "dream guitar" happen. It's unfortunate timing but you have to take what the universe gives you sometimes. Otherwise I'd certainly NOT be selling this guitar.

The guitar itself is wonderful. It is lyrical and expressive but also loud and strong and warm sounding. Excellent playbility - comes with a "low" saddle which is installed and a "high" saddle in the case. Both of which were made by Philip and sent with the guitar. It is also #400 so it's sort of a "milestone" guitar. Made of top-notch materials that Philip sourced from select locations. I have an email from him that I can forward if you are serious about the guitar and it gives more detail about the materials, the label, the aesthetics etc. It's actually very interesting.

Condition is like new. I can't find any marks on it at all. I may be missing something but if so, it would be incredibly minor. I can also provide links to my feedback on sales sites if you are interested. I'm transparent and honest and I value my reputation as a seller and a buyer. Paypal is happily accepted and should you find it not as described I'll take it back without question.

Shipping to the US only for now.

A few pics posted below but I also have a few more I can send as well.

A few details that might help your effort...nut width, nut material, type of (beautiful) tuners. GLWTS.

Looks like a very good guitar, good luck with the sale!

Why is the 20th fret black?

Thanks! I assumed it was to maintain the visual symmetry of the fretboard but I don’t know for sure.

Yep. Baljak tuners. Bone nut and saddle that were shipped from Philip are on the guitar now. The pics above have the temporary versions that were used for shipping - likely to avoid any issues with the bone. Nut is 52mm and action is 3mm for treble e @ 12th fret and 4mm for bass E at 12th fret both with zero buzzing up the neck.

Yep - that's pretty standard action and it's where almost all of my guitars sit except one that is exceptionally low. Keep in mind that that's the bass side and it's actually just under 4mm. I measured it with a metal ruler and it's impossible to say if it's 3.85, 3.94, etc so I rounded up to 4mm. Also, that is not with the first fret fretted - the string is open. I believe some people take action measurements with the string fretted at the first fret. Its a very comfortable guitar to play and there is still room to lower the saddle if you really wanted to.

Well the other guitar I was looking at sold so I’m definitely keeping this Woodfield. It was a long shot but I had to try. MODS can you please archive?

Well, it’s French.... :-)
Kinda hoping there’s still a chance. We’ll see. In the meantime I’ll hold on to this one.

Thanks to mods for relisting - I've been on a bit of a buying spree lately AND we're adding on to the house so I need to move a couple of things. Please feel free to ask questions, etc.

Four and a half year waiting list, for a Philip Woodfield.
That is beautiful.
