I was a fan of cedar for many years, until I came across a "good" spruce guitar.

Spruce.

I don't want to choose between spruce and cedar because I really like both. I don't think the "real" guitar gods would force me to make that choice. So I will send those gods to ... wherever they came from and have at least two guitars - one spruce and one cedar. And no authority in heaven or on earth can force me to own only one guitar, including my wife :D

As long as you stay faithful to your wife, methinks :) , you can have as many flings as you want with your guitars, spruce or cedar :D ! (borrowing a signature from Keith in this forum).

Pity the double-top owners who want both spruce & cedar.
