Bach, J. S. - BWV 1001 Presto

And so... we come to the end of J S Bach’s first violin sonata, BWV1001
This is the final movement, Presto... I love the bass line in this piece... musical... sensual... pure magic... and of course it’s my favourite... at the moment :D
I hope you have enjoyed this entire sonata... I do thank you for listening, and, as always, for your appreciative and generous responses

Ha, as usual I get an adrenaline shock with momentarily increased heartrate when I spot new owl Bach posts.

This piece is wonderful, so full of drive, a grand finish to the whole sonata.

Your interpretation is just ...... as usual :lol: :lol:

I've heard this one only by Ana Vidovic and wanted to play it ever since. But it requires rock solid technique, so I just keep it in my score pile for later...

You always amaze me with your talent and skill, but I do believe that this is your best yet.
I can understand why this is your favorite. You play with so much energy and enthusiasm it almost takes my breath away. You have infused so much sunshine and laughter in playing this piece that it just makes me feel happy to listen to it.
I too, love the bass line in this piece, it could almost stand alone as a melody of its own. Bach really is the master of counter melodies.
I would love for you to make a video though, it would be so wonderful to watch you play this.

Hey, really good one Owl! Conveys a high level of intensity and is played with a natural flow. For some reason it brings to mind how it might sound on the organ played at tremendous volume.

Reminds me that well known quote about Bach... "If Bach continues to play in this way, the organ will be ruined..." And I mean that in a good way, haha. Luckily intensity on the guitar doesn't shake the instrument apart, heh. 8)

I'm embarassed to admit I never heard this piece :oops:

As famous as the fugue from this sonata is, I know I have this music in my house but... I must have read through it once or twice and didn't quite know what to make of it....

I'm amazed by the rhythmic complexity of this piece. Half the time I can't figure out if it's in 3.. or what? And I'm a drummer!

You NAILED it, Owl!

I'd LOVE to sit down with you at a drumset and see what you could do!
