What Are You Eating Right Now?

A take-out dinner of 1/2 of a barbequed chicken, potato salad, green beans, a roll, and a slice of pound cake.....a fund-raiser for the local historical society. When they do a fund-raising barbeque, I buy plates for the guys who work for me. That was some good chicken, and the sauce is still burning my mouth! :)

Just finished a two-way seafood lunch.....shrimp & scallops....with a side of grilled asparagus. ......topped off with a slice of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, and a cup of coffee. :)

Last night I had tuna fried with soy sauce. That is a good combination.

Recently I've tried diced tuna fried with light soy sauce and with dark soy sauce. It was nicer with light soy sauce, but I didn't measure the quantities. I'll have to do it all over again scientifically.

I just enjoyed a small bowl of vanilla ice cream with fresh sliced peaches. I’m sitting in our front porch swing watching the sun set.🙂

Just finished yesterday's Linseneintopf.
I had some green lentils that were 4 years past their sell-by date, so I thought I'd better get rid of them. I put them in a pot with 1.5 litres of water and a packet of chopped up frankfurters and a couple of Knorr chicken stockpots. Simmered it for half an hour. Tasted fine. Tasted perfect with some Worcestershire sauce added.
My German gf on the phone: "that's not how you make Linseneintopf, you moron". Oh well, I'll look on Dutube next time.

After a few experiments with lentils, I have decided that they are just not worth the painful wind.

Apparently if lentils are soaked in water [and the water changed several times] for two years,

well, maybe overnight or a day; one only experiences a slight breeze.
