The sound qualities that this guitar readily expresses will please the most demanding of listeners. The trebles speak with a clear voice giving immediate attack and impressive sustain to a full, rounded tone. The basses are rich and resonant. The overall sound is strong and authoratitive with impressive projection.
The N2 model is an excellent concert guitar handmade by Manuel Contreras snr using superb selected tonewoods. With the possible exception of his 1a and doblo topa models this is one of the finest and most sought after of Manuel Contreras’ guitars. As the photographs attest the guitar is a quite superb example of the work of this master luthier. The decoration is beautiful; from the iconic Contreras inlaid headstock to the rosette and matching bone bordered patterning on the bridge. The purflings, bindings and rosette all complement the rich dark colours of the tonewoods.
